Planning for your visit

Below are instructions to help you prepare for your visit. If you have any questions, please contact us at 800-230-7526 (PLAN).

If you develop a fever, cough, shortness of breath, chills, muscle pain, congestion, or runny nose, please consider rescheduling your appointment for when you are feeling better. If you are unable to reschedule, please wear a mask.

Birth Control

We offer the following birth control methods:

  • pill
  • patch
  • ring
  • shot
  • IUDs
  • implant.

The birth control pill and vaginal ring are available for purchase right in our health centers. We are not in-network with insurance prescription plans for the pill or ring. If you would like to use your insurance for the pill or ring, we can send your prescription to your pharmacy. All prescriptions for the birth control patch are sent to a pharmacy.

You also have the option to have STD/STI testing performed at this visit.

GYN Exam

If your visit is for a GYN exam, also known as a wellness exam or an annual exam, you will have a breast exam and an internal pelvic exam. Depending on your age and medical history, you may need to have a pap test too.

If you are having vaginal symptoms, it is advised you reschedule your appointment to a problem visit.

During this visit, you also have the option to discuss and get started on birth control, switch your birth control method, and get STI testing done before you leave.
