Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky (PPINK) is committed to providing access to the full range of sexual and reproductive health services, including birth control and comprehensive sex education. Planned Parenthood Advocates of Indiana and Kentucky (PPAIK) exists to support this work through community engagement and policy-related advocacy.
In the past, we have helped stop anti-abortion measures and targeted regulation of abortion provider (TRAP) laws from passing through the state legislatures. We supported cervical cancer prevention efforts to improve women’s health outcomes. We spoke in favor of teen pregnancy prevention initiatives to reduce the rate of unintended pregnancy.
In 2017, we will continue to educate lawmakers and policy officials on the reproductive health needs of Hoosiers and Kentuckians. We will remain a voice for non-judgmental and accessible reproductive health services and comprehensive, medically accurate sex education. We will speak out against burdensome restrictions on care.
We are evidence-based and data-driven.
We are proactive and strategic.
We are advocates.
