INDIANAPOLIS – Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky (PPINK) believes that families belong together in communities, not cages and that the family separation crisis is a public health issue. On June 30, Planned Parenthood supporters will gather around the nation at local rallies to be a vocal advocate alongside our immigration partners.
“Immigrant rights are a reproductive justice issue; all people deserve the right to raise their children in a healthy and safe environment without being targeted,” said Christie Gillespie, President and CEO of PPINK. “PPINK stands with immigrants. It is unacceptable to turn our backs on families seeking asylum, trying to protect their children. Immigration status is no reason to separate families.”
