FRANKFORT, Ky. – Planned Parenthood Advocates of Indiana and Kentucky (PPAIK) is honored to be part of a bipartisan coalition working to support Kentuckians during their pregnancies.
The Kentucky Pregnant Workers’ Rights Act (KY PWRA) would ensure that pregnant workers are given fair treatment and reasonable accommodations on the job. If passed in 2019, KY PWRA would promote equal opportunity in the workplace.
“No person in Kentucky should have to choose between a healthy pregnancy and their job. Yet this is happening all too often in the Commonwealth,” said Christie Gillespie, President and CEO of PPAIK. "We are proud to stand with pregnant Kentuckians and look forward to the passage of this important bill during the upcoming legislative session.”
