INDIANAPOLIS – Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky’s (PPINK) President and CEO, Christie Gillespie, released the following statement regarding the recent developments in the case to seek justice for Aaron Bailey:
“Today, the family of Aaron Bailey learned that charges will not be filed in the case related to his death. It is heartbreaking that the special prosecutor assigned to this case has decided to withhold justice from the Bailey family.
"When there is a question about the circumstances of a loved one’s death, no family should ever wonder if they will be treated fairly during their pursuit of justice."
"Our hearts are with the Bailey family. We continue to stand with community activists who are calling for the protection of Black lives."
