By expanding the range of services provided at the Orland Park Planned Parenthood health center, Planned Parenthood of Illinois will be able to provide more comprehensive reproductive health care to women, men, and teens in the Orland Park area.

“We provide nearly 3,500 women, men, and teens in the Orland Park area with reproductive health care services without judgment and with compassion every year,” said Carole Brite, Planned Parenthood of Illinois President and CEO. “With the expansion of services and as more community members gain insurance under health care reform, we will be prepared to serve even more people in the area.”

Planned Parenthood of Illinois medical providers have been providing high quality reproductive health care based on the latest medical standards in Orland Park since 2006. Last year alone Planned Parenthood of Illinois dispensed 51,179 contraceptives including condoms, administered 679 STI tests, and performed 450 HIV tests in Orland Park.

For many around Orland Park, Planned Parenthood of Illinois is their only healthcare provider and only access to quality preventive healthcare. 77% of Planned Parenthood of Illinois’ patients in Orland Park live at or below the federal poverty level.

“Planned Parenthood of Illinois is dedicated to being here for Chicago’s southern suburbs, no matter what,” said Brite. “We’re committed to continuously expanding our high quality care so that we can continue to be here for those who need us most.”
