For those under 18, Virginia requires that one parent, grandparent, or adult sibling with whom a person lives give permission for an abortion, and separately that one parent, grandparent, or adult sibling with whom a person lives be told of a person’s decision to get an abortion 24 hours before the abortion takes place.
