For Immediate Release: July 13, 2015
Looking to taste fine wine or craft beer as the sun sets on the Sound? Then get your tickets to Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic’s (PPHP) Summer Benefit on Sunday, July 26. Being held at The Pavilion at Sunken Meadow in Sunken Meadow State Park from 5 to 7 pm, PPHP will honor Mark and Rita Sakitt for their continued support of PPHP’s services and programs in the community. The benefit committee co-chairs are Lily Cushenbery, James Feldstein, and Vivian Viloria-Fisher.
Guests will sip American wines perfect for enjoying on a summer evening, along with craft beers from Sand City Brewing Co. and Port Jeff Brewing Co. A silent auction will feature exciting items such as a bottle of Chateaux Palmer Margaux 1989 valued at $775, VIP tickets to a Yankees/Red Sox game, Samuel Adams Utopias 10th Anniversary beer, winery tours, brewery tours, cooking lessons, dining packages, shows, and more. This event, merging PPHP’s Stony Brook and Huntington benefits, is one you won’t want to miss.
To purchase tickets, visit www.pphp.org/summer or contact Jenifer Van Deinse at (631) 240-1128 or [email protected]. Reservations are required. All proceeds will support PPHP’s health services and educational programs. Their services include birth control, HIV and sexually transmitted infection testing, cancer screenings, prenatal care, well-woman exams, abortion services, and more.
In 2014, PPHP provided these services to more than 33,000 patients through its eleven health centers in Suffolk, Westchester, Rockland, and Putnam Counties. It offered more than 1,700 educational programs to 42,000 youth and adults.
