PPHP Announces Election of Rockland County Residents to Board of Directors

(Hawthorne, NY) – Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic (PPHP) is pleased to announce the election of Johanna Alter Wilson of Nyack and Charlotte Ramsey, Esq. of Wesley Hills, to the PPHP Board of Directors.
Ms. Alter Wilson and Ms. Ramsey, who were elected to two-year terms expiring December 31, 2010, are first-time members of the Board.
Johanna Alter Wilson received her Bachelor of Arts in Marketing from St. Thomas Aquinas College. Since 1992, she has been working in the insurance industry in a variety of areas. Currently, she is a partner of Strategic Financial Group, Inc. a multi state licensed insurance agency. She is securities licensed with an independent broker dealer and is active in providing insurance and investment advice to a multitude of individuals and corporations. Johanna is a proudly active participant in both elementary and middle school PTAs. She has been the co-chair for the PPHP Rockland Benefit for the past 3 years. Johanna currently resides in Nyack with her husband and 2 children who attend Nyack Public Schools.
Charlotte Ramsey, Esq. attended American University where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. She went on to obtain a Master of Arts in Organizational Development and Public Communications from Teachers College, Columbia University. Ms. Ramsey returned to academia to obtain her Juris Doctorate from Temple University School of Law. She has expertise in the fields of contract drafting and negotiations, real estate, immigration and municipal/legislative work. In conjunction with serving as the sole practitioner in her real estate and immigration law practice, Ms. Ramsey is a member of numerous community service organizations including the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, NAACP, and Soka Gakkai International. She has held board positions with the Rockland Council for Young Children, the Rockland Commission on Human Rights, the Rockland County Black Bar Association (charter member), the Rockland Negro Scholarship Fund, and the Hudson Valley Children’s Museum. Further, she acted as the Chair of the Rockland County Fair Housing Commission. Ms. Ramsey was raised in Rockland County where she resides with her husband, Subramani and her two daughters, Maya and Priya.
