New Board Members Elected at Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic

Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic (PPHP) is proud to announce the election of three new members to its Board of Directors: Hayley Cohen, Denisha Jones, and Karen Sexton.
Hayley Cohen has extensive experience in the finance and hedge fund industries, and business development and marketing. Ms. Cohen is also an active volunteer and fundraiser for various nonprofit organizations who provide education and/or health care access to a wide range of communities. She has lived in three different countries: South Africa, United Kingdom and United States, and has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Cape Town, South Africa, with majors in Economics, Accounting and Financial Management.
Denisha Jones is a professor and Director of Art of Teaching at Sarah Lawrence College. She also works as a pro bono immigration attorney. Ms. Jones previously worked at Trinity Washington University and Howard University. She is very passionate about the mission and has been involved in advocacy work on behalf of PPHP. She is also involved with Badass Teachers Association, Inc. and Defending the Early Years. Ms. Jones has a J.D. from the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law, a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction, and BA in Early Childhood Education.
Karen Sexton is a staff attorney with the Pace Women’s Justice Center, providing pro bono legal services to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and elder abuse. Prior to joining as staff attorney, she volunteered with the organization for several years. She has also served as general counsel for the World Partners Company, an AT&T joint venture, and worked as an Assistant District Attorney in the Sex Offense Domestic Violence Bureau of the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office. Ms. Sexton has been on the PPHP Empower Committee for several years. She has a J.D. from Cornell Law School and a BA from Northwestern University.
