Hayworth backs cuts to women's health

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment in U.S. Rep. Nan Hayworth, R-Mount Kisco. Since she was elected last November, Congresswoman Hayworth has done nothing to create jobs or save taxpayers money.

Instead, she's participated in the Republican Party's War on Women. She's voted to cut critical women's health programs like Medicaid as well as to prevent Planned Parenthood from receiving federal funding to provide preventive care services such as cancer screenings. I would like to know why the congresswoman is more focused on cutting women's health than on creating good jobs.

What's most disappointing is the congresswoman's cancellation of her public Town Hall meeting in Stony Point which was scheduled to take place on Aug. 9. Instead of taking the time to hear from her constituents, and addressing the issues that are important to us in the 19th District, she has decided to hide. To date, the congresswoman has not scheduled any public forums for August recess. I hope that the congresswoman will move quickly to reschedule this meeting and to hold other town hall meetings with her constituents.
