(Hawthorne, NY) – Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic (PPHP) is pleased to announce the appointment of Eillene C. Leistner to the position of Senior Vice President, External Affairs. At PPHP, Ms. Leistner oversees the Development, Public Affairs, and Education and Training Departments, while serving as a member of the Senior Management Team.
Ms. Leistner brings to PPHP 26 years of not for profit experience as well as expertise in corporate image marketing, most recently serving as the Executive Director of Sharsheret (a not for profit organization dedicated to providing support services for women experiencing breast cancer) in New Jersey. As the Associate Director of Development at DOROT in New York, she focused on donor cultivation and planned giving. As the Vice President of Development for the Youth Consultation Service in New Jersey, she directed public advocacy and strategic planning while serving as their chief operating officer of their Foundation. Ms. Leistner has 14 years of fundraising experience for art schools, museums, and emerging artists.
Ms. Leistner holds a Masters of Arts from Northwestern University and a Bachelors of Arts from Lehman College. She is an active member of the Holocaust Commemoration Committee of the Jewish Community Council of Teaneck.
