Comedy Night Raised $18,000 For PPHP Services
For Immediate Release: Jan. 30, 2018
Nearly 200 guests attended Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic’s (PPHP) Second Annual Dirty Mouths Dirty Martinis Comedy Night. Held at the Irvington Town Hall Theater on Wednesday, January 17, everyone laughed along with the seven comedians who entertained with material on Planned Parenthood, dating, marriage, and being single in New York City.
The event was chaired by PPHP Board member Susan Chatzky who wanted to celebrate her grandmother, Jean Carroll, America’s first female stand-up comic. PPHP is grateful to committee members Khris Tahmin and Erica Spera for securing the comedians and the delicious food that guests greatly enjoyed. PPHP extends a special thank you to Erica Spera, Regina DeCicco, Teresa DeGaetano, Ariel Elias, Kristin Manna, Melissa Stokoski, and Sydnee Washington for sharing their time and talent.
More than $18,000 was raised though sponsorships, ticket sales, and donations. Proceeds from the event will be used to provide reproductive health care and education programs in the community. For more information about PPHP, visit www.pphp.org.
