Jan. 31, 2012 (DES MOINES, IA) – Planned Parenthood of the Heartland is happy to announce the new Lincoln health center is now open for patients. The new state-of-the-art health center, which consolidates the two existing health centers in Lincoln, is located at 5631 S. 48th Street, Suite 100.

Patients will continue to receive a wide range of comprehensive health care services, including cancer screenings, annual exams, birth control, male health services, STI testing and treatment,  abortion care and more. The new center also houses one of three Education & Resource Centers plus a public meeting room and administrative offices.    

“Our patients deserve only the best reproductive care,” said Planned Parenthood of the Heartland CEO and President, Jill June. “This new health center features upgraded technologies and allows us to expand our services to more women, men and families in Lincoln.”

Patients will no longer be seen at Planned Parenthood’s O Street and South Street locations. All appointments are now being made at the new facility at 5631 S. 48th Street.


Planned Parenthood of the Heartland has served women and men of all ages since the 1930s. Today the agency offers a full range of quality reproductive health care services to residents in Nebraska, Iowa, Arkansas and Eastern Oklahoma through 34 medical centers and Education and Resource Centers located in Des Moines, Lincoln and Omaha.
