The U.S. Supreme Court's ruling in the case of Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization will put many people at risk throughout our region as abortion bans go into effect. However, even prior to the overturning of Roe v. Wade, many people already didn't have access to abortion, or it was an incredibly difficult process. Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast is working on a project to tell our stories in an effort to normalize and destigmatize abortions.
For far too long, many of us have felt shame behind abortions. However, by telling your story you open a space to normalize abortions and help others feel confident to share their experience as well. Together, we can work to break down health care disparities and barriers to create a more equitable world for reproductive and sexual health.
