What is Youth Leadership Council?

The Youth Leadership Council is a peer education program aimed at cultivating leaders among North Texas high school students. The Youth Leadership Council will provide students with on-going comprehensive, medically-accurate sexual health training, empowering them to become a resource for their peers through formal presentations and informal social interactions. Youth Leadership Council members educate about sexual health and healthy decision making.

The Youth Leadership Council is made up of a diverse voluntary student body for local schools. Members come to the group with different beliefs, values and viewpoints yet strive to create a collaborative group that is strong and varied in its membership and works actively to build a supportive network of peer educators.
