What is Teen Council: Teen Council is a year-long peer sex education program for Austin area teens in 10th, 11th, and 12th grade. Members are diverse and come to the group with different beliefs and viewpoints. No one is expected to already know about sexual health and prevention issues. Teen Council is anti-racist, anti-sexist, anti-transphobic, and anti-homophobic.
Peer led sex-ed!

PEER EDUCATION: Teen Council members present as volunteer educators on various topics, like consent, sexually transmitted infections, HIV/AIDS, and birth control methods online and in person.

RESOURCES: Teen Council members act as resources by sharing sexual health information with our friends and peers. Earn $15 per hr online while building your leadership experience and resume!

TEAM WORK: Teen Council members participate in meetings and trainings to increase knowledge and skills.
