 E. 7th Street Health Center Renovations Ahead!

To meet Austin’s growing healthcare needs, Planned Parenthood made the commitment to serve the next generation of patients by investing approx. $1.4 million in private donations to update the Downtown Austin Health Center on the southwest corner of East 7th Street and Chicon. While minor repairs, and maintenance have been performed over the years, this renovation will be the first major improvement to the health center in more than 15 years. Working with local Austin architect, Carter Design Associates, the upgrades will enhance the patient experience and reflect Planned Parenthood’s continued commitment to the Austin community. Severe rainstorms in May 2019 caused damage at the health center that required suspension of patient services. Repairs to rain damage will be addressed by the planned renovations.
