Planned Parenthood

Greater Ohio

Kight_BordShad_200px.jpgStephanie F. Kight is the president and CEO of Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio and its advocacy arm, Planned Parenthood Advocates of Ohio.

A native of Ohio, Stephanie is glad to be focused on health care for women, men, and young people across the state. She firmly believes that all people, regardless of race, gender, socio-economic background, and sexual orientation, deserve affordable, high-quality health care. With her leadership, care is more than the services provided at local health centers. Care is demonstrated through the interactions with patients and students, through the fight for reproductive rights from the Ohio Statehouse to Capitol Hill, and through the development of staff who share in the idea that when people have the care they need, they make their lives and the lives of their families better and healthier.

Stephanie has consulted with and worked for a variety of non-profit organizations throughout her career, including Mount Carmel Hospitals, Irvine Temporary Housing, the Columbus YWCA, and Child Abuse Prevention Centers. She has worked for start-ups and has owned and operated her own consulting firm, working in the United States and in England.

Stephanie found her true passion, however, when she joined Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties in California in 2004 as senior vice president of community affairs. In her eight years with Planned Parenthood in California, she launched the nation's first sex education text messaging hotline, implemented the first rating system for public high schools sex education curriculum, and developed an award-winning brand program for Planned Parenthood.

In the spring of 2012 Stephanie came back to Ohio to lead the newly merged Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio.

Stephanie is a graduate of Bowling Green State University. She is married and has three daughters, a son-in-law, and two grandchildren.
