Your Story Has Power

Storytelling is a powerful tool to decrease stigma and center lived experiences in the movement for reproductive freedom. Whether it is about abortion, other reproductive health care, sex education, advocating for our rights and freedoms, or anything else, sharing your story can make a difference.

Personal stories and experiences empower others, builds community, and show lawmakers, the media, and other supporters what we're fighting for — and why we'll never back down.

Become a Storyteller

Do you have a story about accessing, wanting to access, or trying to access reproductive health care?

Do you have a story about accessing inclusive or inadequate sex education?

We are building a group of patient advocates who want to share their stories, inspire others to tell their own stories, and act on protecting and expanding reproductive freedom. Storytellers will be compensated with a stipend for time spent during trainings, meetings, and events.

Due to structural barriers, accessing reproductive health care can be a stigmatized experience. Study after study has shown the more stories someone hears about accessing reproductive health care, the less stigma that person has at a societal level and a personal level.

If you sign up to become a Storyteller, we will work with you through small group sessions, one-on-one coaching and workshops to get comfortable talking about your experience. It's more important now more than ever to let people know reproductive health care is essential health care, how barriers effects care, and there is a supportive community here for them.
