Athens Annual Champagne Affaire
Peace, Love, and Protest: An Annual Champagne Affaire
Saturday, April 22
For over 30 years, Athens community members have gathered to support Planned Parenthood at the Annual Champagne Affaire. This year, we are excited to return in-person for Peace, Love, & Protest: An Annual Champagne Affaire. Join us for an evening of delicious hors d'oevres, free-flowing champagne, and a variety of auctions to honor the steadfast commitment our Athens supporters have provided to ensure the Southeast Ohio community has access to care, no matter what.
Our opposition has rolled back the clock, so its time for us to ramp up the activism!
Thank You to Our Sponsors:
We are so grateful for your continued support of our work in the Athens community.
We are excited to launch the Susan Quinn Volunteer Award.
This year, we are honored to rename our annual volunteer award after our long standing and dedicated Board Chair of Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio, Susan Quinn. We could not think of a better paragon of what it means to volunteer with the motive of supporting our work and mission. Susan has given so much to our organization and the communities we serve, and we are filled with gratitude for her strong commitment to reproductive healthcare and sexuality education here in Ohio.
We are excited to announce Athenians for Bodily Autonomy as this year’s Susan Quinn Volunteer Award recipient. This grassroots group formed after the leaked Dobbs draft, and has organized rallies, protests, and other events in the Athens community centered around protecting abortion access. They also are engaging with local government, most recently by proposing a resolution to protect reproductive rights in Athens.
Athenians for Bodily Autonomy have continued fueling the fire and are dedicated to fighting for reproductive freedom. We are thankful for their efforts to bring their community together as well as encouraging them to support PPGOH. We would love to leverage their energy and passion by having them present at this year’s Champagne Affaire. They are also tapped into the OU community and can help us continue growing a relationship with students in Athens.
Thank you to our Athens Community Leadership Council for their continuous dedication:
