Statement of Commitment to Equitable Care

Planned Parenthood of Greater New York actively works toward being a multicultural, inclusive, and anti-racist organization where staff, patients, and community of all identities can thrive.

You have the right to receive judgment-free care with dignity and respect.

We commit to providing nonjudgmental, equitable health care services and programs without discrimination against, or harassment of, any person on the basis of race, ethnicity, color, national origin, language, religion, sex, age, disability, citizenship, marital status, creed, sexual orientation, source of payment, gender identity, or gender expression. Your gender will be respected, and you will be referred to by your chosen name and pronoun.

You have the right to make decisions about your health care.

We honor our patients' rights to make their decisions about their own health and wellbeing, including decisions about contraception, abortion, and hormone care. You will be treated with compassion and respect no matter what.

You have the right to be heard if we do not keep these commitments.

If you believe that Planned Parenthood of Greater New York has failed to deliver on this commitment, you can file a formal complaint in-person or by phone at 1-800-346-1870.
