Planned Parenthood of Kansas & Mid-Missouri Statement on Colorado Situation

Planned Parenthood of Kansas and Mid-Missouri President and CEO, Laura McQuade issued the following statement today on the developing situation at a Planned Parenthood health center in Colorado Springs, Colorado:

"Our top priority is the safety of our patients and staff. The situation in Colorado is tragic, and our hearts go out to everyone involved. Our health centers in Kansas, Mid-Missouri and across the country have a strong safety record with security measures in place, which work closely with law enforcement agencies. PPKM’s health centers were not open today during this incident in Colorado. They will remain closed through the holiday weekend as reflected in our previously announced Thanksgiving schedule.
