Today, we say “Thanks, Birth Control!” for everything it continues to make possible for women and families — and we invite people to share how birth control has helped make their lives better. “Thanks, Birth Control” Day is an opportunity to highlight the many ways in which birth control dramatically improves the lives and opportunities of women and families. Here are three folks, former and current patients, who want to say thanks.
“I am incredibly grateful for birth control as it has given me a path of personal agency that I wouldn't have had otherwise. It has enabled me to live a normal and healthy life. It has also enabled me to live the childfree life that I want. Birth control allows me to live the life I have dreamed and planned for.”
Priya, Oklahoma City
"Birth control gave me the ability to be intentional about my future and be a healthy, sexually active person. Thank you birth control!"
Sarah, Oklahoma City
“Thanks to my long-acting reversible birth control I can spend more time relaxing with my foster kittens, and less time worried about unwanted pregnancies.”
Etta, Kansas City
