The last several months have been some of the most challenging in Planned Parenthood Great Plains’ history. The pressure of continuing to care for our patients through a global pandemic while fending off targeted attacks from anti-abortion legislators pushed our team to work smarter, stronger, and better together.

But although this year has been challenging, we have a lot to celebrate. 2020 marks 85 years of providing care in the Kansas City area. Join us at 6 p.m. Oct. 13 for THE event, a celebration of the Planned Parenthood Great Plains community. Your support at this gala fundraiser will help us to continue providing high-quality sexual and reproductive health care for the next 85 years.

THE event, traditionally held in the Greater Kansas City area, will be virtual in 2020 to keep our communities, friends, staff, and supporters safe. The evening will feature dynamic dialogue with former U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill and Oscar-winning screenwriter and University of Kansas professor Kevin Willmott as they explore the importance of protecting sexual and reproductive health care access during a global pandemic.

THE event raises critical funds to ensure that Planned Parenthood Great Plains continues to provide more than 20,000 patient visits annually at our four health centers in the Greater Kansas City area.

By supporting PPGP with a ticket or sponsorship for THE event, you’ll be helping us continue our legacy of being an inclusive, accessible, and essential health care provider for Kansas Citians, and across our four states.
