Dear friends,

Planned Parenthood Great Plains has never been just a job for me. This mission is a calling and a great source of pride. That’s why it’s so difficult to share some big personal news with you: I will be leaving the organization in August as I take on a new opportunity as the Executive Director of the Howard Brown Health Center for Education, Research, and Advocacy.

I will remain in my role through July, working with our staff and board of directors to position the organization for new leadership and a smooth transition. This decision did not come lightly. I am leaving a position that motivates and challenges me every day. I work with an incredibly supportive, innovative, and high-functioning board of directors. I am inspired daily by a staff team with unparalleled talents, a constant drive to care for our patients, and willingness to weather the storms that come with this work.

Most of all, I’m deeply motivated by you, our donors and volunteers. Your personal stories inspire me every single day. Working on behalf of PPGP’s community has been one of my life’s greatest honors.

My love of our work and impassioned pursuit for sexual and reproductive health care for all has never wavered. Rather, it has grown as we have cared for our communities. We’ve advanced by adding new services to better meet the needs of our communities. We’ve evolved with care delivery informed by the latest research paired with innovative community partnerships. We’ve grown by adding and renovating health centers that allow our four-state affiliate to better serve tens of thousands of people every year.

And while I’m proud of these accomplishments, they aren’t about me. They’re about you. You’ve trusted, supported, and partnered with our team as we’ve taken bold leaps and achieved some intrepid goals. PPGP’s mission is ongoing, and I am excited to watch the organization’s continued success that I know is ahead.

I remain steadfast in my support of PPGP as a donor and volunteer, and I will continue to work with PPGP on several collaborative research projects that are already underway. With our fantastic team in place, PPGP will not miss a beat. Our board of directors will be launching a search for a new President and CEO. And, when I step aside, an exemplary member of our team will lead PPGP: Emily Wales, Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel. For the next 12 months, Emily has agreed to serve as interim CEO while the board conducts a thorough, equity-informed search for PPGP’s new leader.

Thank you for your partnership in creating the PPGP we all know and love. It is an organization that was never just a job for me, but rather a place that I will always consider to be one of my homes. I can’t wait to see what our future holds.

With gratitude and warm regards,
Brandon Hill
