Insurance and Payment Options

We accept most insurance plans and offer a variety of payment options to make your visit to Planned Parenthood more affordable. No insurance? High deductible? You may be eligible for low- to no-cost services.  We're here to make sure you get expert health care, no matter what.

Insurance Plans

Insurance plans vary, but most cover a wide range of preventive care, like birth control and annual exams, without co-pay or deductible. You can read more about the types of services that are usually covered on HealthCare.gov.

It's a good idea to contact your health insurance company directly to make sure the services you're interested in are covered. They can tell you if you'll need to pay for anything out-of-pocket.

  • Planned Parenthood is in-network for most insurance plans, including:

    Idaho Blue Cross
    Idaho Physisians Network
    Hawaii Medical Service Associaiton (HMSA)
    Hawaii Mainland Administrators (HMA)
    Hawaii Medical Assurance Association (HMAA)
    First Choice

  • We accept insurance coverage for birth control and other prescription medications. All you'll need is your current insurance card with prescription drug coverage and your co-pay (if any), and you can get your prescription at one of our health centers. There's no need to stop at a pharmacy after your exam to fill your prescription or when you need to pick up a refill.

Payment Plans

We know it can be helpful to be able to pay off your balance over several months.  All you need is an active debit card, MasterCard, VISA, Discover, American Express, checking, or savings account. Our monthly payment plans cover all regular exams, lab tests, birth control methods, and STD testing and treatment services*.

*Full payment is required for vasectomy and abortion services.

  • Partial payment is required at your initial visit. Monthly installments are automatically paid from your choice of checking or savings account, or debit or credit card. You then have up to 10 months to pay off your balance. No interest* is charged on the balance of your account. Your minimum monthly payments must be at least $20. All of your transactions will be encrypted and protected.

*Interest charges only apply if you have other charges on your credit or debit card from other sources than Planned Parenthood.

  • If you need additional services, we can simply cancel your old contract and make a new payment plan to cover your previous balance and new expenses. There are no  convenience fees or pre-payment penalities if you pay off your balance early.
