Seattle – Today, Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest (PPGNW) announced that as of January 1, 2015 the Issaquah Health Center has merged with the newly opened Eastside-Bellevue Health Center.

Juneau, AK — Today, young, passionate supporters of women, men and teen’s health and reproductive justice will come together in Juneau to make their voices heard by meeting with their legislators. At the Peer Education Program’s first annual Teen Lobby Day, teens from Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest’s Juneau Teen Council will ask for funding for sexually transmitted infections (STI) prevention, testing, and treatment, and programs so all Alaska residents have the freedom to access the health care they need.

Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest Merges With Planned Parenthood of Hawaii

(Seattle) – Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest announced today that an agreement has been signed to merge with Planned Parenthood of Hawaii, creating Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest and the Hawaiian Islands (PPGNHI). The merger further strengthens the organization’s ability to provide quality sexual and reproductive health care, education and advocacy throughout Hawaii.

Planned Parenthood Now Offering Primary Care Services

SEATTLE – Today, we are pleased to announce that a select number of our health centers in Washington state and Idaho will provide new primary care services. As of September 1, we are providing primary care services at our Seattle, Eastside-Bellevue, Federal Way, Lynnwood and Boise health centers. Primary care will be available for high blood pressure, low thyroid, high cholesterol, type 2 diabetes, asthma and GERD (gastroesophageal reflux).

Planned Parenthood Files Lawsuit to Protect Access to Safe, Legal Abortion In Idaho

BOISE, Idaho – Today, Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest and the Hawaiian Islands (PPGNHI) announced legal action against the state of Idaho challenging the constitutionality of the Idaho Telehealth Access Act and House Bill 154, which bans the use of telemedicine to deliver medication abortion services and curtails access to safe and legal abortion. Both bills were signed into law by Governor C.L. "Butch" Otter in April.

Governor Ige Signs Groundbreaking Birth Control Access Bill Into Law

HONOLULU – Today, Planned Parenthood Votes Northwest and Hawaii (PPVNH) celebrated Governor David Ige’s signing of Senate Bill 2319, a groundbreaking bill that will dramatically expand access to birth control in Hawaii. SB 2319 makes Hawaii just the first state in the country to require all public and private insurance providers to cover 12 months of birth control at a time, meaning that women will only have to pick up their prescription once a year.
