At Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest and the Hawaiian Islands, we’ve built upon our broad experience as an education and health care provider to improve sexual and reproductive health in low and middle income countries. Since 2001, our Global Programs have provided technical assistance to non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to improve the sex education and health services in local communities outside of the U.S., with an emphasis on working with youth. In the past we have supported projects in Cameroon, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Laos, Malawi, Nepal, and Vietnam. Core support for our Global Programs is provided through an endowment—the Suzanne Cluett Fund—established in 2005 to foster and sustain our global work.
