From the way the Anchorage community came together to support their health center when it was vandalized with violent graffiti, to the inspired and exceptional youth who persevered through the pandemic to participate in Teen Council virtually, Alaskans prove their support for Planned Parenthood – and for one another – time and again.

A great example of this is how Alaskans support Planned Parenthood through Pick.Click.Give

This program was started in 2008 to allow Alaskans filing for their Permanent Fund Dividend to donate from it whatever amount they choose to charitable and educational organizations.

The total donations raised in 2020 were over $85,000 - placing Planned Parenthood within the top 5 organizations supported by Alaskan donors through the Pick.Click.Give program.

In fact, over the past five years, our supporters have given almost $500,000 to Planned Parenthood just through Pick.Click.Give alone!

“Pick.Click.Give is a great opportunity for Alaskans to support nonprofit organizations that benefit their local communities,” said Rachael McPherson, Philanthropy Officer, who lives and works in Anchorage.

McPherson, a lifelong resident of Alaska, said she’s excited but not surprised by all the support, year after year: “We’re used to adversity, and we’re persistent.”

It’s not too late for more Alaskans to join in and pick Planned Parenthood – the PFD filing period ends on March 31.

How to Pick.Click.Give: When applying for your PFD, answer that 'yes' you want to Pick.Click.Give, and then choose Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest and Hawaiian Islands from the list.

If you’ve already filed your PFD, it’s not too late to Pick.Click.Give! It is still possible to add or change a pledge by visiting pfd.alaska.gov, and selecting the “add or change your Pick.Click.Give” button.
