Robert Napoli has helped healthcare organizations realize the business benefits of implementing information systems and technology for 20 years. In the late 1980’s he was a founding developer in one of the first computerized dictation and transcription companies. After selling his interest in the company, he managed medical facilities for Alzheimer’s patients in Northern Virginia. During this venture, he developed database systems that were used to track compliance measures required by the Virginia Department of Health.
Over the years, Robert has worked in both consulting and hands-on capacities including as a healthcare information systems architect, computer programmer, application developer, database administrator, network administrator, and technical project manager. Robert has worked at an executive level for the past 16 years. In this capacity, he has specialized in building high-performing information services organizations by maximizing the effectiveness of people, processes, and technology. Prior to Planned Parenthood, Robert was the Director of Information Technology at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital in New London, CT, where he managed over 35 direct reports and oversaw the information system across two hospital campuses and over 40 ambulatory practices.
Robert has a Master of Science in Information Technology Management, the equivalent of a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. He is CHCIO, CPHIMS and CSM certified and a member of ACHE, CHIME, HIMSS and the Scrum Alliance.
Originally from New York City, Robert enjoys all of the culinary, cultural and outdoor opportunities offered by the Pacific Northwest.
