Hannah Brass Greer joined PPGNHAIK in 2016. She represents the affiliate in actions to protect access to reproductive health services. Before that she worked with Planned Parenthood Votes Northwest and Hawai'i (PPVNH) starting in August 2011 as Idaho Legislative Director and Public Affairs Manager. Hannah led the legislative advocacy and political programs, serves as the lobbyist for Planned Parenthood in Idaho, managed the Idaho field staff, and coordinated public education and media outreach across the state.
Prior to coming to Planned Parenthood, Hannah served as the Public Policy Director/Counsel for the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Idaho, where she led the legislative and policy work and regularly assisted the legal and public education efforts of the affiliate. Hannah’s career has concentrated on issues of human rights and social justice. Hannah advocated for immigrant and reproductive rights, authored a law review article on the protection of reproductive rights under international and domestic law, and completed a year-long term as law clerk to the Honorable Sharon S. Armstrong of the King County Superior Court in Seattle, Washington.
In 2009, the Boise State University Women’s Center honored Hannah with the Women Making History award. Hannah received her J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law and her M.A. in International Studies from the University of Washington’s Jackson School of International Studies, both in 2005. She received a B.A. in Spanish from Western Washington University. Hannah is admitted to the practice of law in the states of Idaho and Washington (Inactive Status).
Hannah lives in Boise with her husband, Finn, two sons, Luca and Malcolm, and their dog, Hazel.
