Is there a waiting period for abortion care in Kansas?

No, there is not a waiting period. Kansas' 24 hour waiting period is currently blocked by a court ruling, so a patient can have an abortion on the same day they consult with a medical provider.

A waiting period for an abortion is a requirement in some states that makes patients wait a certain amount of time (ranging from a few hours to a few days, depending on the state) between their initial consultation with a medical provider about having an abortion and when the procedure can actually be performed.

How long will my appointment be?
