Planned Parenthood of Central and Western New York prides itself in its collaboration and diversity. The coalitions we participate in represent a membership of community agencies, schools, individuals and groups working towards preventing teen pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections and helping youth stay healthy.
Buffalo CAPP Community Council
PPCWNY is a partner member of Buffalo CAPP (Community Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention) Community Council. This council is committed to providing youth with evidence-based comprehensive sex education, improving youth access to reproductive healthcare services, vocational, educational and recreational activities for youth, and establishing community-wide responses to teen pregnancy and STDs. The services offered through Buffalo CAPP are available at no cost to schools, community centers and other youth serving organizations.
Niagara CAPP Community Council
In Niagara County, PPCWNY participates in the Prevention Connection, or Niagara CAPP Community Council, which implements the same programming as the Buffalo CAPP program in the Niagara County cities of Niagara Falls, Lockport and North Tonawanda.
