An Epic Transition (Pun Intended)

The transition from our current electronic health record (EHR) system, NextGen, to a new EHR, Epic, is in full swing with an anticipated launch date of April 1, 2026. Epic is the top-of-the-line EHR and it’s been a multi-year goal to transition to this new system. We join many other PP affiliates who have been using Epic with positive outcomes for operations and patient care. Please continue reading to learn more details about the transition process, which began earlier this year. 

 PPCWNY has over 200 workstations and associated equipment, such as printers, scanners, signature pads, and credit card machines that need to be tested to ensure functionality on April 1.  Facilities, IT, and Health Services teams continue to install and test all computer equipment in preparation for implementation.
