Consistently ranked in the top five worst states for teen pregnancy, more than 40 teens become pregnant in Arizona every day; and, 95 percent of those pregnancies are unplanned.

Planned Parenthood Arizona offers community members a variety of programs that encourage abstinence and contraceptive options as the best methods to prevent unplanned pregnancy and the transmission of sexually transmitted infections, and that promote communication with a partner as an integral component of a healthy relationship.

WHAT:         As part of National Teen Pregnancy Prevention Month (May), Planned Parenthood Arizona is hosting a Condom Fashion Show and a Community Resource Fair with local performances, family activities, games and door prizes.

 

WHO:            Community Partners include: Wingspan, Native Voices, Child & Family Resources, Women’s Political Caucus, Luz Southside, Our Family, SACASA and Pima County Women’s Commission.
