PHOENIX –Planned Parenthood Arizona’s new Yavapai Health Center, the newest addition to its health centers statewide, is opening its doors to patients on Monday, July 18. Located at 7750 E. Florentine Road, in Prescott Valley, the 1,982 square-foot, state-of-the-art, medical facility will serve the needs of a variety of patients, especially those in the quad-city area of Prescott Valley, Prescott, Cottonwood and Dewey.
All of Planned Parenthood Arizona’s health services will be offered at the new health center, including family planning, breast cancer screenings, annual gynecological exams, sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment, and information about sexual health and prevention.
Starting on July 18, and through August 31, the Yavapai Health Center will be celebrating its grand opening with special offerings for women – annual gynecological exams for $100 or a free pack of Microgestin birth control pills with a basic health and birth control consult.
“We have been in the Prescott community for more than 26 years,” says Bryan Howard, CEO of Planned Parenthood Arizona. “We hope this new health center will enable more women to get their annual check-up, more men to be tested for sexually transmitted infections, and give more parents the tools to have open, honest and more balanced sexuality conversations with their children.”
Planned Parenthood Arizona chose to put its newest health center in the growing Prescott Valley community to serve as a hub location for Yavapai County. The opening of the health center is the result of a multi-year capital campaign conducted by the organization in order to provide community-centered facilities where the public can receive high quality reproductive health care, access to sexuality education information, and hold community meetings or trainings.
A part of the health care community in Arizona for more than 75 years, Planned Parenthood has provided vital prevention services to millions of women and men.
