The Rochester Teen Council learns about various sexual health topics (birth control, STIs, sexual decision making, abstinence, healthy relationships) and then visits classrooms around the Rochester area, accompanied by an adult facilitator, to teach those health topics to their peers.
"We couldn’t be more proud of the work done by the Rochester Teen Council,” said PPMNS President and CEO Sarah Stoesz. “Planned Parenthood is incredibly fortunate to work with such an outstanding group of young people, each of whom are strongly committed to the health of their peers and their community,” said Stoesz.
There are Planned Parenthood Teen Councils in Rochester, the Twin Cities and Duluth.
