I have pain in my nipple for 4 days since Monday already and now the top part of my breast hurts also. I have never feel this kind of pain before.

Our breasts change a lot throughout life: starting at puberty, through pregnancy, breastfeeding, and getting older. Feeling slight pain and discomfort in one or both of your breasts is pretty common. The pain may be constant or may only happen sometimes. For instance, breasts may become tender and sore during different stages of your menstrual cycle. At other times, breast pain may be caused by things like injury, infection, or certain medicines.

While pain in your breasts can be normal, it can sometimes mean something else is going on. The best thing to do if you’re not sure about the pain you’re experiencing is to speak with a nurse or doctor, like the staff at your local Planned Parenthood health center to figure out what’s going on.
