What is an open relationship?

An open relationship is when 2 people in a committed relationship agree to have relationships with other people, too. They may be only sexual, or they may also be emotional relationships. That means both people in the main committed relationship consent to having other partners that don’t damage their committed relationship.

Open relationships are different for everyone. People choose to have open relationships to express themselves sexually in new ways, learn more about themselves or other people, or to have more love in their life.
