Is there an age limit for a woman to abort, or is the rule that if you can get pregnant you may abort?

Laws about abortion vary from state to state, so the answer to your question depends on where you live. Your state may require one or both parents to give their daughter permission before she can have an abortion. In most states like that, however, a person can ask to be excused from that requirement by a judge. That’s called a “judicial bypass.”

You can find out what the laws are in your state by contacting your local Planned Parenthood health center.
