Is it normal to have sores come up around your vagina when your cycle come?

A few different things can cause sores around the vagina. It could be something that’s not a big deal, like a yeast infection or an allergic reaction to the pads or tampons you’re using. Or it could be a more serious condition.  But there’s no way to know for sure what’s going on unless you see a nurse or doctor.

Anytime you have sores, blisters, or pain in your vulva or vagina, see your doctor or go to a Planned Parenthood health center.  And don’t be scared or embarrassed: doctors have seen this stuff hundreds of times. It’s their job to help you feel better.
