i found out i was pregnant on the 14/9/14. but i also found out about 2 or 3 months ago that i had chlamydia, i took the medication but my boyfriend and myself are worried that it may not be cleared up. im going to go get tested to see if its still there but does anyone think it could be gone?

There’s no way to know for sure if it’s gone unless you get tested for chlamydia again. You said that you just found out you’re pregnant. It’s important for anyone who has a positive pregnancy test to speak with a doctor or nurse to have the pregnancy confirmed and make sure that you’re healthy. But it’s especially important for someone who might have an STD. So if you haven’t been to see a doctor yet about the pregnancy, it’s a good idea to do that.

If you haven’t been re-tested since you first found out you had chlamydia, both you and your boyfriend should get tested again. If you’re planning on keeping the pregnancy, it’s really important to get treated as soon as possible because some STDs (like chlamydia) can get passed on to your baby and cause health problems.

Luckily, chlamydia is really simple to treat. You and your boyfriend can get tested at your nearest Planned Parenthood health center and you can decide on the best next steps for your pregnancy.
