How long should i wait to take an over the counter pregnancy test?

Pregnancy tests become more accurate as you get closer to the date of your expected period, and they’re most effective once you have already missed your period. Some tests also work a few days before a missed period — you can read the label on the pregnancy test box to see when that test may become effective.
