I’ve had a itchiness on the outer lips of my vagina. & i’m a virgin and i don’t know what to do. i do use lotion and deodorant down there, so i don’t know if that can be it. please help?

We can’t make a diagnosis online, but it could be vaginitis. Vaginitis is an irritation of the vulva or vagina. It’s very common.

If you have vaginitis, your vagina or vulva may be red, irritated, or uncomfortable. You may have vaginal fluid come out of your vagina that is different from your usual discharge. The discharge may have an unpleasant smell.

It’s very important to see a health care provider if you think you have vaginitis. Vaginitis isn’t often a major health problem, but sometimes it can be serious. Your local Planned Parenthood health center offers tests and treatment for vaginitis.

The lotion and deodorants you’re using could be causing vaginitis and making you itch, so you may want to stop using them until you see a health care provider.
