Can I get pregnant after stopping birth control before my period has started again?

I just had the mirana IUD removed 10 days ago. I hadn’t had a period the six years of being on the mirana. I decided to remove it because its time for another baby. My question is, can I get pregnant without seeing a period yet?

Yes, you can get pregnant before your period starts up again. That’s because ovulation, the part of the menstrual cycle when pregnancy is possible, happens before your get your period. So, if you’re ready to start trying for another pregnancy, you can start as soon as you have your IUD removed. No need to wait!
