Is it normal to miss your period while on the Xulane patch ?

The hormones in the birth control patch can make your periods lighter. Sometimes, the hormones can make it so light that you totally skip a period. Period and bleeding changes are one of the most common side effects of hormonal birth control. If you’ve been using the patch correctly, it’s really unlikely that you’re pregnant, but if you’re worried, take a pregnancy test to make sure.
If you want to stop having periods or skip a period, you can skip your patch-free week, and start a new pack of patches. There’s nothing dangerous or harmful about using the patch to skip your period. Want to keep track your periods and your patch? Check out Planned Parenthood’s Spot On app.
