I took emergency contraception and now I'm bleeding, but it's too soon for my period. Is this normal?

I took the morning after pill last week and now Im bleeding but its to soon for me to be on my monthly flow. is this supposed to happen or not

It’s normal for your period to be earlier or later than usual after you take the morning after pill. It’s also likely to be heavier than usual. But having your period is a good sign that you are not pregnant.
