Appointment Policies and Information
Abortion pill (medical abortion) telehealth screening and video appointments for patients in Virginia is now available. This service is only available for patients who are confident their last menstrual period will be no more than 8 weeks by the time of the appointment. These appointments can only be made over the phone to clear a preliminary screening. At the time of the visit, there will be an additional screening and then meet with the provider over video. Once the consult is complete Planned Parenthood will UPS Next day air the Medication Abortion package. The package includes the 2 abortion medications, pain medication, nausea medication, a high sensitivity pregnancy test for follow-up as well as a heating pad.
