If you need emergency contraception (AKA the morning after pill), you can walk in anytime we’re open.
Emergency contraception pills (EContra EZ, a generic version of Plan B One Step) are available for sale, without prescription, Monday-Saturday, during this health center’s regular hours. For the other types of emergency contraception (ella and Paragard IUD), an appointment is required. Every attempt will be made to accommodate you in a same-day appointment.
Free pregnancy tests by walk-in or appointment on Tuesday - Thursday and Saturday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm.
Birth control refill pick-ups (for PPNYC patients only) available Monday - Saturday, during this health center's regular hours. On days of pre-holiday early closure, refill pick-up is available until 1:00 pm.
All other services require an appointment. You can get birth control, STD testing, and testing/treatment for urinary tract infections without having a medical exam.
This health center also offers PEP (Post-Exposure Prophylaxis), an emergency medicine you can take to prevent HIV if you may have been exposed in the last 3 days. Just walk in or call 212-965-7000 for a same-day appointment.
We’re unable to provide childcare at our health center. For safety reasons children need to be accompanied by an adult when they’re in the waiting room. Only infants can accompany you to the exam room. Please bring a friend or family member to be with your children if you don’t have childcare at home.
Donations help support our mission and continue the important work we do.
This health center supports and welcomes all people regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or biological sex, including but not limited to lesbian, gay, bisexual, queer, questioning, and intersex clients. All services are provided in a respectful and professional manner.
